Basically, as far as i can tell, my phone just quit being able to use aes encryption. One day i came home, my phone automatically connected as usual, but when i tried to surf the web my browser said no internet connection. After much research on the web about phone problems with wireless routers where laptops still work all found solutions failed. Afterwards I simply played around with all my routers settings until something worked. Once i changed my encryption settings from the one with aes/**** to the **** one my phone started working normally. However, a pop up come up that said this encryption type was slower. Any wisdom on what's wrong and if there's a way to use aes again?

When you set up the router did you change any og the internal settings in the router ?
You can go into the routers settings and go to the Please do NOT spam this forum section and make sure that the wireless bands are set to mixed broadcast so that it's broadcasting all the bands that it supports and not just one.
If that's not the issue then you can try changing the chanel in the router.
