G624T serial read only?

Post by rokafeller » Wed Dec 12, 2012 1:40 am

Hi there,
I'm trying a serial cable http://ciclamab.altervista.org/hard.php?lan=it and I'm properly receiving the logs from the router but I can't type anything on the console.. it's read-only.
I can't check it with the oscilloscope at the moment.. am I doing anthing wrong or the G624T serial interface is actually supposed to be working in read-only mode?

thanks

Definitely should be able to type - gives you a command line interface same as telnet/ssh .
Suggest you have a wiring problem. You can usually test your cable in a loopback mode connecting tx and rx via a resistor.
