Wifi vs Ethernet max internet download speed

Post by Alpha_Tay » Thu Oct 23, 2014 1:04 pm

hi, from what i test with speedtest or doing single thread download from the internet, it seem the adsl2+ router based on ti ar7 chipset can reach max download speed around 20mbps+- with ethernet port, but only around 10mbps+- with wifi connection, is it the same with everybody else?

if doing multiple threads download, wifi can reach max speed around 20mbps+- without problem.

I consistently get 18-20mbps wireless - but I am on a fibreoptic connection, with the RouterTech router just being used as a wireless AP, and to run WDS.
