Hi guys, I' ve a problem! I'm trying to put the new version of RouterTech firmware ( 2.8 ) on my router (D-link Dsl 504t). I' ve downloaded the routertech-ar7rd-adam2-4ports-firmware-20081123 file, and i put it on the router by TIUprage utility, but when the process is finished i don't succeed to load the 192.168.1.1 page to configure it! I'm sure that the ip address is right. (i' ve download a package with the wireless version, with TiUpagrade and firmware files and its works fine!) HELP ME!!! There is some guide or howto! (I've just read the guide on this forum) Thanks! PS why the firmware on this site are in .img format and other that i've downloaded are .bin format?

ok! I' ve putted on my Dsl-504t the RouterTech firmware 2.7 version. i' ve used the CICLaMab utility, but the only files that i can upload are the kernel and the filesystem image. The single image file doesn't work! I' ve already all the mtd partitions setup fine! (mtd0, mtd1, mtd2, mtd3, mtd4) why? I' ve read this guide: http://gorneman.wordpress.com/2008/11/2 ... 5x4tg6x4t/ ,and i have the same mtd partitions, but it not works for me! PS where i can find the kernel and filesystem files of the RT firmware v 2.8? thanks!!!

Sorry, don't know anything about ciclamab - I couldn't get it to do anything useful when tried a while ago - decided it just doesn't support my 2MB flash adam2 Solwise 600E or any of my pspboot routers!

Look closely at the mtd values, especially mtd0 and mtd1, the required values are different between separate and single images. You will find a tool called mtdcalc on this site which can advise by analysing the single image file and knowing your router details. As long as mtd4 is correctly defined I do not see why a web upgrade to RT2.8 does not work - please explain what happens.

I upgrade the router with the last RouterTech firmware simple by the web upgrade page!
These are the steps that i' ve followed:

- STEP 1: Take a D-link dsl-504t with the D-link v3 russian firmware (install it by tiupgrade)

- STEP 2: Download RouterTech v 2.7 firmware and install it by the CICLaMab utility (install kernel and filesystem images, no a single image)

- STEP 3: Open browser at 192.168.1.1 and upgrade the installed firmware ( RT v 2.7 ) with the last version ( RT v 2.8 )by the Upgrade Gateway web page

Maybe with the mtdcalc it's possible to install the RT v 2.8 firmware in easy way

That link asks a whole load of questions. You have provided the answer to none of them. When you fill in a report of the kind that the link requires, then I might have something to say.
