CNET CAR-854

after upgrading to routertech_ar7wrd_pspboot_firmware_20090415_204 I cannot connect to the internet. error message is DSL line is not connected eventhough it is. Also dsl light is off? Any help?

Issue resolved. Thank you for the help. I am now using RouterTech Firmware v2.9

here is my new problem, i am not sure what happened to it. but i cannot ping 192.168.1.1, and it does not give the client an ip address. all i get is 169.x.x.x.

please help. is this bricked already? thanks in advance

I presume you've turned it off an on again?

tried that. also tried ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew.

after long wait, windows just says limited connection then 169.blah.blah.blah

can i still recover this using PC tool? i tried to have a static ip of 192.168.1.3 and tried to ping 192.168.1.1. but there was no response. request timed out to be exact..

tried hard resetting it, the leds showed signs of resetting, but i got same results.... 169 thingy.... tomorrow i will try pctool again

Change your static connection to 169.x

small follow up question, in the other thread, viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3016,
item number 9 states that you tried to connect with the pctool, but it couldn't connect (it was trying to connect to 169.254.87.1). The pctool eventually crashed!

how did you knew that it was connecting to 169.254.87.1? thanks again. sorry for the trouble
