Re: WPA2 / 802.11i support planned?

Indeed - the discussion went in a completely different direction - perhaps because WPA2 on 1130 is a dead issue as far as RT firmwares are concerned. Conclusion is that WPA2 support for 1130 chip is nothing unusual Wrong conclusion. It is quite unusual. In fact, it is so unusual that, AFAICS, only ...

Re: Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

I was very busy lastly and don't have time for my 'brick'. Anyway after removing the plastic cover I found out that the capacitors were broken. I changed them and there was no trouble with saving the configuration anymore. But there was still problem with ethernet ports. But I did not have time to m...

Re: WPA2 / 802.11i support planned?

I read several last posts and I think that discussion is going into wrong direction. The question was about support of WPA2 in RouterTech and no of availability of WPA2 in other firmware (especially with no access to source code). For example I have WPA2 support for DSL-G624T (1130 chip) in original...

Re: Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

There is clearly a problem when writing to the mtd3 partition. My conclusion was the same and maybe this is not related but I checked yesterday the permissions to /etc/config.xml file (telnet). The permissions were set to 644, the owner was '1' group 'root'. I was trying to make changes directly to...

Re: Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

mtd1 = kernel mtd4 = kernel + filesystem Delete them at your peril. I would advise you to stop messing with things. First get a serial console cable, and then you can see exactly what is going on when the router stops responding. What kind of serial console it should be? RS232(PC) to RJ45(Router) o...

Re: Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

What is stored on mtd1 and mtd4?
Is it safe to erase them?
If it's safe and then if I can recreate mtd1 and mtd4 how can I do this. What software, what command? (without serial cable at the moment)

Re: Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

Check your hardware (especially the ethernet ports) both PC and router. Seems to me that you either have a dead PC ethernet port, or your router's switch is dying (or dead). Try setting your PC's ethernet port manually to 10mbps. Hardware seems to be ok, especially Ethernet ports. The only thing I ...

Re: Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

I am surprised that PCtool v2.3 worked for an Adam2 router. You should use PCtool v2.1. Did you defragment the environment? Do you have a serial console cable? I can repeat the whole procedure with PCTool v2.1. I did not have enough time to do defrag (after a 2-3 minutes, before I even telnet to ro...

Re: Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

Then perhaps you need a recovery basic environment (use this for RT v2.93) setenv mtd0 0x9008e000,0x903f0000 setenv mtd1 0x90010090,0x9008e000 setenv mtd2 0x90000000,0x90010000 setenv mtd3 0x903f0000,0x90400000 setenv mtd4 0x90010000,0x903f0000 setenv autoload 1 setenv autoload_timeout 15 setenv my...

Re: Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

There is no original env. I was using a RouterTech 2.9 for about a year. During this time I lost all my backups from previous (original) configuration. BTW is it a normal thing that I have a file named 'upgrader' in main path /var # ls cache flash lock proc spool upgrader dev lib log run tmp var P.S...

Bricked Dlink DSL-G624T (how to erase all except bootloader?

I was trying everything :) and my G624T still bricked. I am able to connect to bootloader but every time I am trying to upload firmware it freeze during update, or it goes through but after restart router is still bricked (no ping response). I also were able to put 2.93 on router, log in via web int...

Log settings for displaying only connections to router

I did a port forwarding on my router 'Router:443 to NAS:23'. On NAS:23 I have a sshd up and running. It was a working solution for long time. Unfortunately it stops working few days ago. I don't know what's the reason. I am able to login via ssh inside my network to NAS:22 so it means that the probl...

OK, thank you. You did a shot right on the target. 514 is correct answer. Thanks.

Remote log port number?

I am on RouterTech 2.9 (great firmware - I will be repeating this over and over).
I would like to setup a remote logging. There is an option for this in RouterTech but it allow only to add an IP address. How should I know which port is used?
