Re: Aztech 605EW Wireless Rebooting Router Constantly.
Well, WPA shouldn't cause any problem at all. It is possible that you have faulty hardware (wifi chip/card) either in the router, or in the client PC. true, at the very least - it buys me time to get a spare router and look for those components at the nearest electronics shop. thanks to you and not...

Re: Aztech 605EW Wireless Rebooting Router Constantly.
I haven't gotten to opening my router just yet but I managed to figure out a working solution to my problem. Reflashing my modem a couple of times with both stock and RT firmware, I naturally tend to configure the wireless encryption using WPA-PSK as the wireless security method... which caused the ...

Re: Aztech 605EW Wireless Rebooting Router Constantly.
attached is system diagnostics text file with wireless enabled and a single device connected; 3 minutes before router rebooted itself again. Wireless is turned on manually - fearing it would endlessly reboot without any chances of successfully log-in to the router interface to stop it. with_wifi_on....

Thanks for helping me chief, I removed the values advised, rebooted and this is the result of system diagnostics. Aztech 605EW Wireless Rebooting Router Constantly.
I am using my Aztech DSL605EW with RT firmware 2.96 as an Access Point, connected to a modem/router set with DHCP. So far through the configuration I got no problems with wired connections. However, when it concerns wireless - it tends to randomly reboot the RT router (and sometimes continuous reboo...

Re: RouterTech Firmware Tool
Two questions chief, Does the Firmware tool automatically determine the Wireless MAC address and TNETW ID numbers? Or are they merely just examples to have users input the actual values should the information be found on their router? Been trying to determine what my TNETW ID is but apparently there...

Re: ASCII2Hex Convertor
About your comment on encryption strength - using ASCII combinations for password security is regarded somewhat a weak method, but that is beyond the scope of why I built the utility... I had to consider the fact that I have some devices that connect to my wireless router have certain difficulties w...

ASCII2Hex Convertor
A simple tool I made to help me convert text to its hexadecimal equivalent for the purpose of setting wireless passwords. Searched the forums and didn't find any (or the fact I probably overlooked somewhere) hence, I made one for offline use. Converting from string to hexadecimal: http://i...

Re: How to use ADSL router only as router??
I'm interested to know the procedure... because it seems that my aztech dsl605ew is suffering from the same frequent disconnection issues... and I had the modem --> ADSL router idea for a while now. I'm still a novice when it comes to networking... the only way I could get that router to work with m...

Re: Aztech DSL605EW Upgrade Bug?
If you have working versions of the manufacturer's firmware (which you do) and you back up all your important stuff - e.g., the environment, and the config (by running the RUC), and become good with the PCTool, then it should not be too difficult to unbrick the router if it gets bricked. If you don...

Aztech DSL605EW Upgrade Bug?
Hi, I have the Asian version of this wireless ADSL router (2 antenna) wanted to try out RT and thoroughly read the documentation, made backups of the router's environments, downloaded working firmwares off the aztech site and of course the latest RT 2.91... disabled my software firewall as well just...
