on a 2 mb dsl modem/router managed to create a small extra mtd5 partion to use with led.conf file need to format it to "minix" and mount it however, 2 mb firmware does not come with "makemtd.sh" script can somebody post content of "makemtd.sh" , so I can do it manually ? thanks #!/bin/sh # # Router...

I count for you. It needs only ten seconds. When i holding 45secs or 1min, nothing happen. I made 3 times reset. After that this time i tried update firmware from 192.168.2.1 modem restarted and again still same version... I think its locked. No way to update without that PC App. And im sure only A...

I don't think 6 seconds is enough. You need to hold it down until it reboot-cycles at least 3 or 4 times (i.e., hold it down for nearly a minute).

I tried everything. I think it's not possible without that PC App thing. Thats why i can't flash a firmware. Cuz access denied to files. "tftp:timeout" after that it's restarting. Yes, /var/tmp/ is writeable - but it is only a ramdisk, as you have discovered.

If you want to automate what you have just done (ie, to run after each reboot), have a look at this:
