Re: Can a router be configured to look like ISP?
Someone pointed me to these: http://www.mpasystems.com.au/vendor/planet/vc-231-vdsl2-converter I can't see why you could not do this with ADSL modems. So I guess my questions are, * If you had full knowledge/access to the modem software/chip, Is there any intrinsic reason why ADSL modems could not b...

Can a router be configured to look like ISP?
Hi router people, I didn't know where to put this. Please be nice - I know nothing - but I'm hoping to learn. Firstly is the RouterTech firmware completely open source? If not which bits are not? I've heard that TI hasn't released the AR7 code, but according to the MIPS people the complete code can ...

Need help to repair a bricked conexant modem/router

Re: can you connect 2 modems?
Terminology I picked up somewhere, ATU-C = Adsl Termination Unit - Central office (R = Remote end), guess its not commonly used, sorry. I did mean connected by wire, a single pair between the RJ11 sockets. I just figured if it could be done you guy's would have done it to use for diagnosing connecti...

can you connect 2 modems?
Basically, Is it possible to configure/convert an ATU-R to act like an ATU-C? I imagine this would be useful for A testing environment OR To connect 2 networks, One of which has no internet access, but they are more than 100m apart. (I've seen this done using dialup modems over a private cable) OR H...
