Re: My router died

I have the Vigor 2820, has an ADSL modem, wireless and support for a second WAN over ethernet, which I now use to support FTTC from Openreach via their stand-alone modem.

Re: My router died

I bought a Draytek around 8 years ago and haven't looked back. A little on the pricey side perhaps, but it's solid as a rock and the inbuilt features such as comprehensive firewall, easy support for a routed block of IPs and VPN server make it almost perfect. If you went this route you'd probably wa...

Re: Secure the confidential data

I would strongly suggest becoming familiar with and then complying with the data protection laws in the jurisdiction in which your business is incorporated and in jurisdictions in which you plan on doing business; this kind of thing can quickly become a minefield if you're not careful (sending certa...

Re: Facebook vs Twitter

Depends on the kind of engagement you're looking for; twitter is accessible more readily without logging in (search, casual browsing etc.) whereas facebook requires a login, real names etc. On the other hand, building a long-term relationship with customers is almost certainly easier on facebook; ph...

http://www.trustedreviews.com/sky-hub-2013-photos-6 From the sky hub review page: Cleverly, the Hub 2 can also pre-configure the Openreach VDSL network in your home when it is plugged in. This saves Sky broadband users the need for a trip from a BT Openreach engineer to switch you on at the nearest...

Re: Small business website

If you want your customers to see you as a professional company then you should really invest in getting a proper web design/development company to look after your web presence, rather than using some kind of online builder - these can leave your site looking, well, lets just say amateurish
