Never connect any serial port (PC or USB) direct to the router as the voltage levels are different.
Standard RS232 serial uses voltages upto +/- 12V.
The router serial port runs at 3.3v.

Re: Bug in Firmwares
Is the linux box acting as a router ie IPCop / smoothwall etc. ? If so then the AR7WRD should forward the required ports to linux box "WAN" IP 192.168.128.100 and then the linux box should forward the ports to the correct LAN IP's. I am assuming that the linux box is the only thing connected to the ...

Re: Scheduling IP blocking
Have you changed the DHCP range on the router?
if 192.168.1.3 isn't within the routers DHCP range then it won't issue it even when set as a static IP.

Re: SWART2/GWART2 Help! (Port Forwarding Setup Issue)
To forward a range of ports "Port Map" should be the same as "Port Start"
eg
Port start: 1
Port end: 10
Port Map: 1
would forward WAN port 1 to LAN port 1, port 2 to 2 ........ port 10 to 10
eg
Port start: 1
Port end: 10
Port Map: 1
would forward WAN port 1 to LAN port 1, port 2 to 2 ........ port 10 to 10

Does script.php actually get downloaded ?
Think you will need to specify the download dir
even then may need to set permisssions and the execute the script.

It is virtually impossible to have a partial flash for a number of reasons :- The flash is erased before the new firmware is loaded. It is flashed as a 'disk' image not as individual files. Even if it was a faulty chip with stuck bits the new 'file' would have to be exactly the same size and be in t...

Re: My D-Link G604T de-bricking story.
I was initially running the latest DLink UK firmware available, and tried to upgrade to the RouterTech firmware v2.8 via the web interface. This *appeared* to work, but after waiting and rebooting the router, I found I had the initial login screen from the RT firmware, but when I logged in, I got t...

Just noticed this is missing from the ENV
without it then bootloader won't know how to 'run' the firmware.
