Re: Internal communication error. Exiting
ssh is not supported on ram-challenged routers (i.e. with 2mb flash and 8mb ram). Ok, is there a way to completely disable it then None that I am aware of. Ok, this brings up 2 new questions: - how can I determine how much ram my router has (I believed 2MB as it as a dlink dsl320t, but "mem" and "t...

There's a number of reasons to get the "ICE", in your case I don't think the router knows the requests are from the LAN - for good reasons certain functions don't work from the WAN. Is there any way to convince the router that requests are from the LAN (I expected it to consider all packets receive...

Do you have a block of IPs from your ISP and run the router in "no-nat" configuration? Are you addressing the router with an internet-wide IP address or on its default local lan 192.168 address? Yes I have a 4 IPs block assigned by my ISP and my server is on the other (non reserved) IP. With a 4 IP...

Internal communication error. Exiting
Hello, I just upgraded my dlink dsl320t to 2.6. Everything works fine, but if I try (from the web interface) Tools->System Diagnostics or Tools->Optimize ram, I just get a message Internal communication error. Exiting. Also if I try Tools->Run command I just get a completely empty panel with a title...

Re: DLINK dsl 320t

I've been using routertech 2.3 for several months on my 320t and everything works fine. I'm going to upgrade to 2.6 today. If you...

routertech router as modem
Hi, I've a dlink 320t with v2.3 routertech firmware (as the dlink didn't work well even as a modem). Is it possible (with this firmware) to configure this dlink as a MODEM (not a router) ? It doesn't seem possible from the web interface but maybe it'is possible from the command line? How should I do...

Ok, but am I missing something (i.e. how do you handle this?) or do you agree that a (basic) dns server is a quite important component for a router? Consider a home network with a bunch of networked devices (counting 2-3 pcs, printers, media server, accesspoints, VoIP atas etc.. it's easy to get to ...

dnsmasq on routertech firmware
Hi all,
I'd like to get dnsmasq (a light dns and dhcp server) run on the routertech firmware.
Do you think that this is possible, is this already been attempted, do you have any other hint/consideration?
Cheers,
livio

The router uses a dnsproxy which you can turn off in the web interface -BUT- you must then manually specify your ISP DNS servers in every PC on your LAN. A 'router feature' is that the real DNS servers are not handed out automatically by the modem core logic using dhcp even if you specify "use peer...
