I've had a couple of these routers running RT for a year or two, there was no problem with the initial load using the native Safecom web based upgrade interface so it is possible that intentional vendor lock in is not the problem. I've still got copies of the V4 and V5 firmware for these routers. I can post them here if that is OK - needs about 6MB. I took mine up to V5 & it was then OK with the RT firmware (Lite Version) albeit a bit tight on memory. It seems to benifit from re-booting every 2 or 3 months. Don't worry about ...

I can confirm that the SART2-4115 and works without further mods. You will need to use the lite firmware as the standard version locks up after a week or so as it runs out of memory which is a bit short on these devices. The RUC report is attached.
