Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
light version of firmware seems to be much too heavy for my asus aam6020bi-t4. It can work for four days (24 hours) and after that period it hangs in one of the event (when i open web-interface or press to optimize ram). Is it possible to make less light version?

Re: Different adsl power output
The problem is that I have downstream margin 25.5 with dlink and 20 with routertech. That is the difference. Numbers are not only in different order, they are mirror: down and up power output. And I don`t know, which one is better. I always have been thinking, that margin is the most important figure.

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
I have to repeat my request for improvement of the firmware. It is not stable. I occasionally pressed "defragmentation" when router was being used and it hanged (freezed). There are processes in the firmware, when it is vital important to close all incoming commands. As I have noticed, the same is i...

Different adsl power output
I have either D-link dsl-2640u & asus 6020bi-t4 (with routertech firmware). And they both use different parameters of dsl connection. see screen of DLink and compare it with the routertech logs: DS Margin: 23 US Margin: 22 DS Line Attenuation: 12 US Line Attenuation: 8 DS Transmit Power: 19 US Trans...

Re: Does the localnat.sh script affect router performance?
When it is working this enables "WAN IP local nat loopback". This allows you to test a webserver on your lan, for example, which is setup for external access via port-forwarding, from another machine on your lan using the external dyndns address. is it the only advantage of this feature? I mean, is...

LAN Groups: can`t move to other group
lite version of psp (4-ports). Can`t move neither of "ethernet" to other group. Can only remove "ethernet" from "LAN group 1". When I press "add" to other group, router hangs (freezes). See the look of the screen: there is no "configure" in front of other lan groups.
Why is it so?

Re: Suggestions for the RourTech firmware
I don`t think, I am the only having this trouble. All the routers of AR7RD seems to be the same: 8+2mb of memory. Then, there is no reason to claim that only my routers freeze during hard-memory operations like booting and connecting. If not to request routers web or http while they are working hard...

Re: Suggestions for the RourTech firmware
I have loaded light version instead of full. It can be hanged up (freezed) likewise.

See picture. Do I need localnat.sh? Nowhere is written about it. What is its difference from an ordinary nat?Sorry, but I am not sure what you mean.I have set defragmentation with parameters "1 15" (every 15 minutes?).

Re: Well PTI-845G Repair
Use "RouterRepairTool" (from RT) to establish connection. Mark "keep open" in "repair" tab. Then start PCTool. Press "retrieve/assign IP" and then press "close connection" in RRT. Connection will be established to PCTools.

Re: Paradyne 6211-A3: cannot erase mtd4
3. Your version of the Adam2 bootloader may be expecting "macc" instead of "HWA_3" for the DSL MAC. You should set "macc" to the same value as you gave to HWA_3. There is no harm in having both. That is true. It seems, that setenv macc 00:... have solved the problem. NAS0 HWaddress have changed. Co...

Re: Paradyne 6211-A3: cannot erase mtd4
I think that HWA_3 & PPPOE_DSL_MAC variables doesn`t matter (I have spent about 24 hours, trying all the combinations). I also have changed HWA_RNDIS & HWA_HRNDIS to be equal to MAC (00:11:D8:D930:C6) The reason is that nas0 nas0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:02:03:04:05 is not being taken from t...

Re: Paradyne 6211-A3: cannot erase mtd4
I can`t get to know the right DSL MAC. I am disappointed and sad  I decided to return its native firmware, but RRC doesn`t want to apply mtd-s (see attachment 1). I tried to use PCTool with the script (before loading) setenv mtd0: 0x90090000, 0x901f0000 setenv mtd1: 0x90010000, 0x90090000 seten...
