Life after the AR7

Hi team, Tell me to wash my mouth out if you wish ... but Does the team think that the AR7 is nearing the end of its life (insofar as new routers can/are using a more modern/powerful chipset - I have no idea if this is true, I'm playing devil's advocate), and if so what would they like to design for...

Dnsmasq

Hi folks,

Can someone explain how to install and run dnsmasq (I'm using an SAR600EW R series with v2.9 firmware). I assume that however it's installed it wouldn't survive a reset.

Thanks

David

Is it a compile option or could I (a user) enable it?

Hm,

So I suppose that means there is no way to return a 'DROP' reason. Any idea what was behind the reasoning for omitting the REJECT functionality?

iptables rules syntax

Hi Guys, using RT2.9 on a Solwise SAR600EW Rxxx. Have been following this discussion https://nodpi.org/forum/index.php/topic,669.0.html which is about blocking DPI (Deep Packet Inspection) websites and I decided to enter some blocking rules into iptables but the syntax is beating me. The following w...

Sorry for delay in replying. My SNR varies significantly. eg. I can lock at 7332kbps during the day with something like a 7db margin but after dark this drops to 0. At the moment I'm locked at 5856 with a 3db margin. My ISP is a well known satellite TV company who try to restrict the router you use....

SAR-600EW unable to set retrain margin

Hi Guys, SAR-600EW with TNETW1350A and routertech firmware 2.4. Also using stats logger 1.0.15. If, on the stats logger settings page, I set a retrain margin (apparently to anything), the router won't log-in. DSL will train and connect with the LED going solid green for about 15 secs then it drops o...

TNETW1350A Release - congratulations

Gentlemen, Thanks are due to you all. I've upgraded my SAR600EW to the latest firmware and that along with the Router Stats Logger make a superb combination. Can I make one suggestion - I had a peek at some of the HTML of the routers web page and noticed quite a few comments and "formatting" charact...
