Re: Help RLS with Belkin N Wireless modem router
Hi there, Sorry to hear you are having problems trying to get some router stats (logging) working with your router. Can I just check ... are you trying to use the Router Stats Logger software or something else? My RSL tool was written specifically with the Class II routers in mind, running the Route...

Re: Router Repair Tool
Hi all, It seems that the downloads which are directed through my website (for counters and statistical data) are not working right now. People will be seeing the following error message: File on record does not exist on file system. Because the process has several steps (the files are stored elsewh...

Re: Router Stats Logger
Thanks for the feedback ccube, I’m glad you were able to resolve the problem. Several of my utilities use the Winsock API (including WSOCK32.DLL and ws2_32.dll) and they just use first NIC to be enumerated. The assumption is that most systems have a single NIC, I wouldn't call that a bug :) ; no par...

Re: Router Stats Logger
Telnet scripter also does not work, but i dont know what the problem is, because it is a single gui window with no output. (i really do not like the windows world and its fancy windows) The log is shown in the GUI when the Telnet Scripter is running. Also, as explained in the readme, you can direct...

Re: I bricked my aztech dsl 605ew
Ah, maybe there is something else unusual in the script then. My guess would be the line
which has quotation marks in it.
I have tweaked version 1.0.8 to look for and escape these now.
Code: Select all
setenv BOOTCFG m:f:"mtd1"
I have tweaked version 1.0.8 to look for and escape these now.

Re: I bricked my aztech dsl 605ew
BTW Version 1.0.8 now handles PCTool scripts which are saved in Unix file format (in case that was the problem).

Re: Router Upgrade Checker (Class II routers only)
Please note that the size (estimate) and checksum are for the ZIP file (not just the ruc.exe). This means, someone can verify the checksums without having to decompress the zip file. As has been previously mentioned, due to the nature of the RUC, it does occasionally get flagged up by some antivirus...

Re: Router Upgrade Checker (Class II routers only)
Emsisoft Anti-Malware reports ruc.exe is a trojan.win32.antavmu!ik...Please could someone look into this. This is probably a false positive due to the nature of the RUC (it needs to be able to access the router, act as a server etc), but please confirm the file size and MD5 checksum are correct. Ge...

Re: Slow browsing - but only on laptop!
Thanks for the info alex88, but after updating ZoneAlarm and AVG the problem went away, so I'm pretty sure it was the problem outlined here: http://free-product.blog.avg.com/2010/03/zonealarm-release-a-fix-for-the-slow-browsing.html (as linked to above) I performed several full scans and I'm fairly ...

Re: Slow browsing - but only on laptop!
Thanks for the replies :) Viruses (or "virii" if you so please), trojans, keyloggers and other malware? I try to avoid collecting general spyware and malware on the laptop and use a software firewall and anti-virus software to keep it at bay. I also used TCPView which should have shown if there were...

Slow browsing - but only on laptop!
Hi guys, this little problem has been puzzling me for some time and I had enough and have decided to call in the big guns! :) The details: I have a router (SART2-4115 still, with rtfw v2.93) and several computers that connect to this router to access the Internet. So far, so good, as has been the ca...

Re: Router Upgrade Checker (Class II routers only)
Hi gorneman, This is probably a false positive due to the nature of the RUC (it needs to be able to access the router, act as a server etc), but please confirm the file size and MD5 checksum (213KB and 965ee4fa2e88e8fa9c6c66d19b52280f) are correct. Generally speaking, all files we host should be mal...
