Re: Aztech DSL600EU Running RT 2.97 : Some Cron Queries

Thanks Chief, I have tried ver 2.97 and 2.96 (both full and lite versions, i can only use the IMG file <= 2MB anyways for my router). With both firmwares I have the following problems: 1. I was experiencing very slow Web UI performance after running the router for some time (~ 10 min). After a reboo...

Re: Aztech DSL600EU Running RT 2.97 : Some Cron Queries

Just adding to my post above, browsing thru the WEB UI is becoming extremely slow and now it crashed with the following message: "Internal Commuication Error - Exiting" And the router became unresponsive after that, hence it is not related to the activity cycle/heavy duty usage of the internet to pu...

Re: Aztech DSL600EU Running RT 2.97 : Some Cron Queries

The way you've listed your questions, it is hard to answer them individually - but I'll try to answer them in the order in which they are asked; 1. Yes, that should be correct. 2. "crontab -l" will show you the cron jobs that have been set up. 3. It is as seen. You don't really want to disable the ...

Aztech DSL600EU Running RT 2.97 : Some Cron Queries

Hello, As the title says, I am running RT 2.97 on Aztech DSL600EU (flashed the less than 2MB RAM image to it), which is my PPoE connection to the ISP. I do have frequent internet lockups and liked the "checksync.sh" script in RT , so it can reboot itself when there is no internet connection. Hence i...

Re: Reboot script with RouterTech_3.6.0D_20110103_2.95

But it was working fine with the earlier version of RouterTech firmware. That often means nothing. Maybe the reason, it is unable to unmount the filesystems as posted in my first thread. I doubt it - all the attempts to unmount finished running. The error messages are harmless. Otherwise can I down...

Re: Reboot script with RouterTech_3.6.0D_20110103_2.95

Well, I would say that something is wrong with your router. Hmm i might think that too. But it was working fine with the earlier version of RouterTech firmware. Maybe the reason, it is unable to unmount the filesystems as posted in my first thread. Is it normal or usual. What could be stopping it t...

Re: Script :Cold-ReBoot or Soft-ReBoot the Modem with RT 2.4.17

I have searched the modem firmware directory for this file.

Can someone please guide where is this shell script located, or maybe just post the contents of this script so I can explore it.

Thanks.

Re: Script :Cold-ReBoot or Soft-ReBoot the Modem with RT 2.4.17

If its the DSL light that flickers it would be worth experimenting with different versions of RouterTech firmware which will have different DSL drivers, I don't recall what the 1-port 2MB flash used in 2.6. Checksync wouldn't work if the modem in "PPPoE" full bridge mode, as the modem won't have di...

Well, I do actively use USB port and have a hub attached to it with multiple harddisks. SO i was looking for a better firmware with "USB" support other than HyperWRT Thibor 17c which can also offer the dyndns.com functionality correctly. ================ As far as the VPN pass through in the Linksys...

Ok, Well i have managed to upgrade the firmware on my Aztech DSL600EU with Router Tech v.2.6 . It mainly has the same navigational structure which the original firmware had. I have tried keeping the modem in bridge mode and then setting all options on the Linksys router in PPoE mode, which worked qu...
