hehe i've already tried it without the second HD as i had a theory maybe my psu didn't have enough power.... but it still did the same. and even if the cloned files were corrupt, i've reinstalled the graphics card drivers numerous times and also taken it out, made sure there were no dusty or faulty ...

3GP

Ok, 3gp files. I have a converter and a player, but I was wondering if there are any programs/reg hacks etc. that can be used to make 3gp videos have thumbnails in Windows XP. I use my phone to record alot of video and it's really tedious having to search through video files to find one that I want ...

VERY problematic laptop

Well, my cousin has messed up her laptop, and it is as slow as (to coin Blackadder) an asthmatic ant with heavy shopping. At first, I thought I'd isolated the problem - it seemed the agp440.sys files (or something along those lines) was causing the bootup to be really slow (taking around an hour to ...

I use no-ip.com - a small program is running on my pc that makes the URL I choose redirect to my computer's ip address. I use it for VNC. It's basically like having a static ip, but instead of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx I use a URL. When your computer's ip changes, it doesn't matter as the URL gets sent the ne...

Ah, I see my problem here. I don't use the routertech firmware (sorry!) but I have the Sky modem, and apparently it only works with Sky's firmware on it. Any other ideas for non routertech firmware solutions, apart from advising me to flash it with the RT firmware? Its a Netgear DG834GT.

Router diagnostic type thing

I'm not sure if it exists, but is there a program that you can run to find out which ip's on your network are using the most bandwidth? For example, so I can find out who is wrecking my amazing ping by leaving about 20 P2P programs running :P

Yeah that could work... Maybe use a Live CD instead of faffing with a dual boot? Can you mount things on your HD when you use a Live CD?

If network ports are the way the you link XBOXs together and you don't need an internet connection then I'm sure that should do the trick provided you set up the XBOXs and the switch properly. Me personally speaking I am no expert at networking and definitely not at networking XBOXs. PS You would on...

i think its not just meant for boot time; i think its meant so that you can read your "hard disk" as quickly as you read your RAM, so things like load times in games would almost dissappear (you linux users wouldn't understand about games haha )
