Re: RouterTech firmware on ADSL2MUE!

These Linksys modems seem to be discontinued and are being dumped for very low prices in the UK at the moment - is anyone else interested? Where are they being dumped at very low prices? Having seen from the previous diagnostics that the router has 4mb flash and 16mb RAM, it would appear to be the ...

um... a bit out of of my depth here I don't think I will be able to set up this firmware into PPPOA half bridge mode. If I turn NAT and Firewall off the only I can get the modem to serve up to my test PC via dhcp is the modems local IP address for gateway and DNS and a lan address for IP. The WAN IP...

I have totally failed so far to setup a PPPOA half-bridge mode through the web interface - if I disable NAT or the firewall in the connection settings I cannot get internet access! Maybe I can enable this from the command line? Are you also turning NAT off in the LAN Configuration section ? :? Don'...

You may want to disable things like IPAccount to free up more memory. Are you doing any P2P stuff? I have not enabled this and not knowingly doing any P2P. I can't find an equivalent led.conf in the linksys software - so the only way I could change the color would be with a soldering iron, so can't...

Re: RouterTech firmware on ADSL2MUE!

One minor fault with the routertech software is that the modem power light is on permanent red which is an 'alarm condition' - I'll see if I can find how to turn it green! This is not a fault. It is a case of not having the correct led.conf file. Each mfr has its own, and we just have to use a "sta...

Re: RouterTech firmware on ADSL2MUE!

Hi all ! I searched on this forum but apparently nobody tried this firmware on a LinkSys ADSL2MUE. So I decided to test it! (with RTech_AR7RD-1Port_3.6.0D-20061029_2.1RouterTech.firmware.upgrade.img). I upgraded the modem from the LinkSys firmware 4.22-EU with no problem. All seems to work after 2 ...
