Re: Speed Issues any advice?
In the LAN settings ("IP Address" or something like that). You will need to connect to the Hub1 directly, after first disconnecting the Hub1 from the other router. You must give it an IP address that is different from that of the main router - e.g., if the main router is on 192.168.0.1, you can give...

Re: Speed Issues any advice?
Did you give the Hub1 a static IP address? You might need to do that.

Re: Speed Issues any advice?
Do you get a wireless connection to the Hub 1? We do not know your router, and we are not with you. You need to give full and detailed information about what exactly you have tried, and what exactly was the outcome, otherwise, we will be left with a lot of questions and speculations.

Thanks for your reply. Can you tell me how to disable the DHCP? I don't see anything in the settings to do this. Also when connecting them both by ethernet cable where do I plug it into on the Plusnet Hub 1? The VDSL port or just an normal Ethernet port? Thanks again Well, I don't know your router,...

Re: Speed Issues any advice?
Try this:
1. Disable wireless on the Technicolor
2. Disable DHCP on the Hub 1
3. Disable the modem on the Hub 1
4. Connect both with an ethernet cable

Re: Adding a second identical router
Hi I want to cascade a second ee brightbox 2 router to my summer house. I can get a ethernet cable there from a power point adapter but hit problems when trying to change the settings on my second router. If I connect the slave router to my laptop with a ethernet cable and then go to ee's ip addres...

Re: Speed Issues any advice?
Well, there is obviously something going on with you line that is not going on with your neighbour's line - and it could be anything. It may possibly be solvable by tweaking some configuration settings - but, since we are not familiar with your devices, there is little we can do to help. If the Tech...

Re: Speed Issues any advice?
You might want to try your neighbour's router on your line. If you still get low speeds with that one, then the problem would most likely be with your line itself.

Re: Speed Issues any advice?
What would you change in the configuration? Modulation (if you are allowed to change it). I don't know what you firmware's web configuration allows you to do, so there is very little that can be suggested by way of specific recommendations. Here is an example of what the RouterTech firmware modulat...

Re: Speed Issues any advice?
So why would a Plusnet router not work properly with the Plusnet DSLAM? Can this be altered? Working "properly" is relative. And the issue is not the hardware, but its firmware. For example, you may need to upgrade the router's firmware - especially if there are good 3rd party firmwares. Also, ther...

Re: Speed Issues any advice?
In that case, yes, the router's modem drivers' interactions with the ISP's DSLAM are crucial. Your best bet is to find out from other PlusNet users which routers perform best with PlusNet's DSLAM. Otherwise, it's trial and error.ayrshiredude wrote:I'm on ADSL
