As thechief has stated use the firmware identified by the RUC
routertech-ar7rd-pspboot-1port-firmware-20100818.zip
If you are having difficulty with understanding this, i would strongly advise not flashing your router, as if it goes wrong you will find it incredibly complicated to put it right!

You have to ask your ISP to turn interleaving off (some charge to do it :x )

It does give you a lot better ping in games once your on fastpast :D

Make sure the drivers for your wireless cards are up to date. This is the usual cause of this sort of behaviour.

I have just had a quick search, and it looks as though its quite old your Acer. The drivers my search came up with where all for XP!
As thechief says, you need to find out what the display chip is and you may be able to get an updated driver from the manufacturer.

IF it is exactly the same MB with the same chip set and architecture etc, you may get away without a reinstall of Windows.
