Reading the release for 2.6 I see you can now load an led.conf file from /nvram partition. The led.conf file can now be loaded from a minix partition if a full path name is supplied - and as long as the minix partition is mounted via an "RT_init_x" command * e.g., setenv led_conf /nvram/led_blahblah...

If you post the file (and tell us what the router is) then it might be possible to add it to a future firmware for you to choose as per the others mentioned in the documentation. I believe that you are stuck for now unless one of the other led conf files supplied is the same as yours. Maybe there is...

Did you follow the instructions about making a copy of the led.conf file from your original firmware? If there isn't a version supplied with the RT firmware that works then you need to get that conf file for us to include in a future release. I'm assuming that everything is working other than the led?

Testing this evening has been totally inconclusive. At the moment the wireless is working fine, the router's been up for 26 hours. Changing the aerial made absolutely no difference to signal strength as reported by NetStumbler. Changing from WPA to no security strangely made the signal strength wors...

Thanks Techsolver. That's the one I was looking for but every link I had found so far pointed to a dead website. I can confim that miniStumbler doesn't work on my iPAQ so I'm hopeful that wififofum will do but I can't install it as I need .net v2 and can't download it from here. Hopefully test it al...

Where's the fun in that Sy ? :D BTW - I tested my wireless PC connection from 3-4 feet and I get the same graph "solidity" as you but around -10dB signal levels so you may be on to something regarding the antenna. Interesting.... I take it you haven't been "messing" with the "hairy" wireless ...

What's the distance from the router - from the netstumbler trace I'd say that you're not "that" close - so does the ping "effect" happen when close to the router as well ? When the stumber image and ping were taken my laptop was about 4 feet from the router, clear line of site. Can you try with wir...
