meh.... why make it so fiddly! i use msn pretty much constantly so that takes care of checking my hotmail account, and i read the uni news in thunderbird which picks up my uni mail when i open it. so i'm sorted! EDIT: what we need is a big "read my mind" button on the keyboard, that does everything ...
