Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
Does thie chip in this router just suck at detecting it? or is it a firmware anomaly with the ATM driver being older in the TNETW1350A routers? Nothing wrong with the chip. Even though the firmwares for standard and 1350A wireless look identical and are based generally on one permutation of linux k...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
eh there is no juset setting multi mode anymore, the UI is way different than my G604, which just let me set a single mode and let the driver choose. its' a bunch of checkboxes now. with everything checked by default? That's multi_mode. I figure that much, it's just wierd to still have a multi mode...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
i'm using PPPoE for same reason I'm using ADSL2+ mode even though i get better numbers with G.DMT. for the line techs that are monitoring my lines, they want me to use the same settings their modems use or they won't take my trouble tickets seriously.. the ignorance of the level 1 techs is astoundin...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
Finally got staticip lan clients to stabalize, it just seems the solwise is possessed, it goes into endless reboot cycle if there are no ethernet connections on boot. Because of a bug with ghosting (wahtever IP it gives a machine on first boot, it stays ghosted in lan clients forever, evevn if machi...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
ok i figured out how to deal with that. a script that does this If down margin <= 8 and router uptime >= 8 hours reboot connection else return end or something along those lines heh. this solves the endless rebooting, at worst it'd just reboot every 8 hours if you got a bad connection. but this woul...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
Think i found a bug in the SNTP. If you do NOT use peer dns, but rathor custom dns servers. router doesn't fix time on reboot, you have to manually do it a little after reboot. Maybe it doesn't realize the dns setting right away and can't resolve hosts? I'll play with it some more.

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
the only DHCP behavior that annoys me is lan clients detection. the firmware fails to detect dhcp clients on the lan clients tab until the second time they lease. It's annoying when setting up port forwarding rules or static IPs on first setup. IE you reboot the router, router boots up, all the devi...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
I had the Config get corrupt again. This time i didn't even save anything, i just rebooted router after it was up for a week cause i had bad margins i wanted to lift up. After reboot the ethernet ports were doing same thing as last time, they'd sync up for about 5 seconds, assign an IP, then drop, t...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion
I did a save all, after changing modulation, exactly like i did before, and like before, the router got bricked again, just like it did under adam2, only this time under psp boot. Are you sure there isn't a big nasty bug in there somewhere? I'm on ISP bad again to download PC tool, which at least i ...

i don't allow remote access, unless it's on by default? and the firewall was on until yesterday.
edit: just checked, remote access is turned off.
