FUrhtermore i'm actually plugged directlying in to a lan port on the WIRELESS reouter and its' still fine - so everyhthing is ok when it's going directly through LAN but bring wireless intot the queation and it seems to stall. I wonder maybe if it's actually the netgear's problem and not the PLuscom?

COnnect the cable directly to ethernet port and i've really pushed it with p2p and downloading large files at a constant stream of about 750KB/s and it's fine - switch over to the wireless connection through the other router and it goes for a bit then stalls.... Very strange.

Oh well - short lived success - the firmware is at 2.6 and it seems to show symptoms of running out of memory although i've disabled everything!! I wonder whether its that the new firmware version takes up more memory or the configuration i have it in is conducive to using more memory? I have set me...

Well i've just moved house and at first I was using a 9v dc trans for the power and it still worked but then i found a data sheet on the pluscom router indicating it's 12v not 9v! So i decided to use my generic multivolt selector transformer while i looked for the actual one - as i've just moved hou...

Well - as with most of these things - it's usually something that hasn't been done properly that is at fault... and in my case I was using a 12v DC multivoltage transformer that put out max of 500mA which isn't enough for mr AR7 - so i've found the right one and it's fine now! I'm happy now because ...

Yea I wasn't making two separate nets - just one network where the wireless router simply acts as a wireless switch. I am guessing somewhere between the routers the throuhput was cauing problmes. Maybe in the auto senseing switch?

Google search for circumventor - has easy install - sets up a webserver on your home PC with a CGI script on it that 'proxifys' web pages - so as long as you can access your home PC from work, you'll be able to access anything. You may want to sign up to Dyndns to get a name so that you don't have t...

Netgear DG834G v2

As far as i can tell (ie from the datasheets) this router has all the required hardware on it for rt fw; there is an issue though with the adam2 boot loader where it checks to see if the firware has the right checksum and if not then refuses to boot - and I have also followed the instructions in ord...

Ok router has been up for ages now, when using P2P I can't really expect to use the router's web interface, however, the router doesn't crash, and there is no performance problem either - it's just that i can't get into the web interface - I have found closing down DHT can sometimes help - but then ...

I've recently done all this and survived having bought the same Pluscom - I don't know whether you've done this - but all your symptoms seem very similar to mine - all I found was that I hadn't realised exactly how long your supposed to hold in the reset button. So - that is - turn on the router - w...
