Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.95 Discussion

If it is all working, then why are you worrying? If anything is not correct, you can be sure that Adam2 will let you know all about it. just because i saw different values (even now u wrote a different value for mt4) and I was wondering why and which one is correct. I had a strange error connecting...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.95 Discussion

I'm still confused about the mtd dimensions. Mine are now: mtd0 0x90090000,0x903f0000 mtd1 0x90010090,0x90090000 mtd2 0x90000000,0x90010000 mtd3 0x903f0000,0x90400000 mtd4 0x90010000,0x903f0000 And I was able to flash from 2.94 to 2.95 via web gui. Are they correct? EDIT: MTD dev: size erasesize nam...

Re: Replacing Adam2 booloader with PSP bootloader

Using JTAG, it should be fine. It can be less fiddly than command-line jtag utilities. That is why i asked ;) But note that, when changing a bootloader, nothing is absolutely safe - which is why you shouldn't try it unless you have a functional JTAG cable. That is obviously, but thanks the same to ...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion

I think we need to debunk all myths about memory optimisation. One thing it does not do is conjure more memory from thin air. All that it does is to defragment unused memory. Therefore its effectiveness in any situation depends entirely on the amount of memory holes (i.e., on how fragmented the RAM...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion

how to see if it is working now? If it does the job yeah... IF :) after pushing the "optimize ram" button i'm not so sure it does the work. Free ram before optimization is pretty low even after some minutes the auto-optimization should have be done (eg 8:20 p.m. and i run manual optimization at 8:2...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.93 Discussion

I enabled "Enable Cron (cron_enable)" and "Enable Memory optimisation (memchk.sh - needs "Cron")" with 1 20 parameters (memory optimization every 20 minutes, right?) but it doesn't work according to the System Log. With the 2.92 it worked (but I left only "1" in parameters and memory optimization wa...

Re: G604T Issues

I am not angry at all. 8) I just would prefer for people to come here with proven hypotheses rather than conjecture, which of course often leads to FUD. That is why I suggested going back to the "old firmware". You might well find that the problem is still there - which would mean that the cause is...

Re: G604T Issues

I'm pretty sure that with an old firmware the problem will be fixed as it was. You're assuming that the problem is with the firmware. The only way you can test that assumption is to go back to an "old firmware", so perhaps you should go back to an "old firmware" then? Hey thechief, don't be angry :...
