Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
Things have gotten considerably more stable changing the Keep Alive back to 10. (I always Keep Alive of 0 on 604T). Going to guess that the solwise just has issues with that. Ok, i lied, i just haven't uploaded enough lately. I still can't upload anything > about 2 MB without DCing, the firmware de...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
ah interesting, i was always under the impression i HAD to use the custom firmware for this. but no i apsolutely do not need the wireless, i have a seperate device for that which is far better. So i can use a standard firmware then? will that cuase issues with other things cause i know other parts o...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
multi mode or anything other then adsl2 has poorer connection stability. This is cause my ISP is dumb and pretty much strict enforce adsl2+ (they think it's magic or something, if you use anything other then that you will literally drop connection at an almost hourly rate, god knows why). Then I th...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
chkmargins --help What about rest of it though? This solwise is nothing but problems on routertech firmware. I also can't imagine it's a bad unit, it was bought brand new and barely has any usage on it until lately. but it has a whole list of problems 1. It automatically resets connection any time ...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
Still getting oddness where it gets hung up trying to initialize a device already in use, in this log, it actually resets conection per check margins script, it GETS a new connection, but then keeps trying anyways, resulting in an indefinite loop that just sat the router at 100% cpu until i rebooted...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
I keep having a problem with firmware on solwise that didn't occur on dlink. Pretty much any time i DC on solwise, i HAVE to reboot it to reconnect, period. Auto reconnect fails about 1/3rd of the time, spams log with this, which basically tells me the device isn't properly terminated when my bad is...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
is there something different about the solwise then the G604T? my 604T could handle torrents like a champ with factor settings, my solwise utterly shits itself every single time. fire up a torrent, complete and total internet connection failure. It will literally drop everything and hang itself with...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
ugg, i drop sync so much with driver 71, still no progress with 75 on TNETW1350A? That driver makes such a huge diff on my terrible ISP, especially in summer time, it's why i always prefered the Dlink. I'd totally pay money for 75 support in TNETW1350A right now. :) Sad thing is, i'm already droping...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
speaking of settings backup. Is there no way to backup a very large application/ip forwarding database or a ton of QoS settings? firmware updates make me cringe because re-setup can easily take a couple hours to redo a mass amount of settings. or transfer those types of settings from two diff RT rou...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
there are also various tweeks to achieve same functionality with less ram usage if i recall. Such as setting a cron to set time instead of using SNTP, cause cron and SNTP daemon both running is pointless, when you can have cron which is already running anyways just handle another job and disable SNT...

Ethernet connection to router
almost sounds like same problem as me though, ethernet ports are flat out wonky. I never tried wireless to be honest. the ethernet ports hold a connection long enough to get an IP then fail out, if i hit renew dhcp lease, it gets an ip, but then lost connection immediately after. Now that there are ...

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.97 Discussion
What about the capacitors? i haven't visually seen anything wrong with any of parts, i keep the inside clean too. fortunately it's not mid summer yet so i don't need the 7.5 driver yet. got a little bit before my margins drop to 2-4 in the afternoon. Just going to need to find a replacement soonish...
