Aren't the 604T and 624T more or less the same thing?
I have absolutely no idea. I've never seen a DSL-G624T before, let alone look at the env variables.

Regarding netshaper, I've found that once created, I can't remove a rule using the said method (set bandwith to 0). The rule remains in /proc/netshaper/rules.

EDIT: Wait, I can remove the rule, but only if I use -s <ip address> instead of -s <hostname>

I'm not sure about massive benefits, but I'd personally prefer RT 2.5. There's the whole new netshaper thing which I think is rather handy, and ftpfs as well. Please refer to this anyway.. it's DarkWolf's DSL-G624T page. http://www.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fdarkwolf.altervista.org&langpair...

Probably yes, but make sure you get the correct Routertech firmware.

Heheh, when a firmware developed to work on more than one piece of hardware works better on some hardware than firmware developed to work ONLY on that piece of hardware, you know something's wrong with the manufacturer.

Something I just realized... The wireless link quality is much greater with Routertech firmware than with the stock firmware. Is there any reason to this? Both have similar configurations. With the stock firmware I had it at 45% while in my room with an open door (router's in the room outside, throu...

I've altered mine, and managed to upload using a bridged connection from my Windows XP VM. Thanks for the help. For reference, here's mine: setenv mtd0 0x90094000,0x903f0000 setenv mtd1 0x90010090,0x90094000 setenv mtd2 0x90000000,0x90010000 setenv mtd3 0x903f0000,0x90400000 setenv mtd4 0x90010000,0...

As of now there isn't a mtd4 listed in the env. I suppose that's why the tiupgrade.exe should be used eh?

I see. I think I'll just go with the tiupgrade.exe then. I assume it works with a bridged connection? I'm currently running Ubuntu on this computer, but I can bridge my Windows XP VM with my ethernet. The computer which has a Windows XP installation got fried by the lightning too. Sigh. EDIT: By the...

Routertech v2.5 with D-Link G604T

My DSL600EW recently got struck by lightning, so I've switched to the spare router (DSL-G604T) which my father had happened to get. I have no idea what the stock firmware version is, but I'm curious to know if I can just use a PCTool to flash Routertech v2.5 onto it like I did with DSL600EW and Rout...
