PCTool ( and I think ADAM2 FTP ) are useless (may even damage ) on the RoHS type routers as it only reads the first 2K of the ENV the extra entry's for EEPROM values etc take it above the 2K limit. Can't remember if the 'fmt' ( only avaliable on PSPBoot ) command will allow mtd3 to be blanked but is...

Does look like the driver is not compatible with the wireless 'card'
You could try as don't see it in your env and is set on others I have seen.
If that fails try
You could try
Code: Select all
"setenv vlynq_polarity high"
If that fails try
Code: Select all
setenv vlynq_polarity low

...the options you refer to are certainly not present on the safecom web demo for that f/w..... Thinking back it was one of the hidden options, (did post the URL's for all hidden pages on the other forum but none of my posts are there anymore !) BTW - how does a custom port forward help ? isn't tha...

On the "Adanced" menu do you have a "Remote Web Access" option ? ( been a few years since my ...

Jim wake up and read the post ! Upstream of 604 looks very wrong for a MAX service standard ADSL would be 288 and a MAX service would be 448. What do you have the modem modulation set to, if set to 'multi_mode' then would try it set to 'ADSL_G.dmt' Do you know what speeds etc you get with the...

Can you run 'shields up' on the GRC website and let us know the results for the forwarded port as it will help determine if the problem is with the router settings or the camera. It will show the port as either :- 'Stealth' - indicating a problem with either the router settings or the ISP blocking t...

Source IP and source subnet should be 0.0.0.0 to allow access from any WAN IP ( the source of the connection ). Edit Destination mask should be the same as the LAN subnet mask i.e. 255.255.255.0 I assume port 8000 is the port the camera uses and will be accessed via a standard HTTP browser using por...

Another of your unanswered posts on that other forum  Disabling the AP will save some power but probably not a measurable amount as the card itself is still powered, but still worth doing if not using it as will also free up some RAM on the router. Don't know of any way to disable the LED's, t...
