Every so often (prob an hour or so) my pc pops up with "Connected to Wireless lan X", even though it doesnt appear to have actually disconnected at all.
Any reason it would do this ?
I have an Addon GWAR3000
Now connected to wireless lan x

That happens often in Windoiws, when the signal is lost and then found again. This could all happen within a second. In my experience, it is because of poor wireless range from the router, or poor choice of location for wireless router and/or the client PC.
I used to get that a lot, until the latest firmware (RouterTech) which improved wireless range significantly.

I have *seen* this occur on other machines, but never had a chance to get my hands on the keyboard and see *why* it is doing it.
What is the signal strength like? It may be that as everything has a time-out, you may in fact be getting momentarily disconnected from the wireless, but without actually losing any active connections you may have open because the duration is less than the timeout.
[EDIT: Beaten to it by chief ]

Also can happen when another wifi lan iss using same channel and contention causes disconnect.......
..try downloading netstumbler from www.netstumbler.com and check for other WLAN's and choose a suitable channel which doesn't conflict.....
