Device with low signal disrupting the entire network

Post by Drakoo » Thu Jul 30, 2015 11:42 pm

Hello everyone,
I have an UPC router (I know, it's bad and I will change it in the future), specifically a tc7200.u. When a single device in the wireless network goes too far from the router (as example if my flatmate goes to the bathroom using his phone on Wi-Fi, where the signal is low) every device in the network has connectivity issues. Specifically, as a gamer I get very high ping with a lot of spikes, going from 35 to 300-500 all the time. Is there anything I can do on the router setup to fix this? It's really weird that even if my signal is strong I get issues due to a second device.

Thank you!
