Hey there
Im trying to do a WDS between my Linksys WAG54G and Micra Digital (one from tesco but labled Belkin) Both routers support WDS. I will refer to the routers as
Linksys - Router 1
Micra - Router 2
Basically, my bedroom is really far away from the main telephone port, to long to run an extention cable as i lose 20%
Router 1 has broken ethernet ports, and both routers arnt powerful enuf to go wirelessly up to my room. So i want to bridge them together, but i dont know how to do it
Ive read a few things about it, but still cant understand it.
Router 1 is connected downstairs to ADSL, router 2 is connected in my bedroom to ethernet (look at attachment)
On router 2, its got an automatic WDS function so that the mac comes up when in range.
On router 1, i have entered the Mac address of router 2, although theres 3 MAC's for it :S
LAN MAC Address: **-12-BF-**-BD-23
Wireless MAC Address: **-12-BF-**-BD-25
WAN MAC Address: **-12-BF-**-BD-24
So i dont know whch one, io think the Wireless one. But ive tried all 3
Now, i dont know what to do lol
Can anyone help me
Ive seen this http://www.devicescape.com/docs/smap/Ad ... 1000093633 but this still dont help me
Thanks in advance

All sounds o.k. - BUT you need to make sure that the AUTO MAC/WDS function on your other router is actually picking up the MAC of your router and not a neighbours......
Does the router allow you to manually enter the router MAC ?
Dumb question but how are you checking that WDS isn't working ?
Can you web brows to the other router IP ?

I think i was gettin confused on which MAC to put in, the wireless one now as that makes more sense
So, its all up and running, and now i gotta sucure cables under carpets lol
Thanks for your help
