Command Line Interface (CLI) Manual

Post by SyBorg » Sat Apr 29, 2006 4:24 pm

I was going to have a go at documenting the Command Line Interface commands/functions that are available on the Billion 7402VGP. Luckily I have now found the following http://billion.com.au/downloads/7500G_CLI_Manual.zip.
This zip file contains detailed information on the commands available when using Telnet to the router. These commands are the basis for controlling the router, the Web GUI simply calls the commands here and in some cases the Web Gui is less powerful.

The commands should of course be used carefully. The manual is, strictly speaking for another router version. There is also the possibility of command changes between firmware versions.
It is quite possible to cause the router to stop functioning correctly by using the commands unwisely, however it may be the only way to configure the router in order to get some functions working as required (especially in the VoIP area).
