So is the router working now?

What did the Router Upgrade Checker tell you?

You have a pspboot router, and have probably loaded an adam2 firmware and configuration which has wiped your environment section, and the bootloader has recreated the minimum on reboot.

You should have a backup of the environment in the "Router Upgrade Checker" RUC log, there's an example here for a 'similar router'

I'm guessing the you didn't follow the instructions to run the Router Upgrade Checker before you started?

I think it would be best for you to ensure you have the original firmware for your router from the manufacturer and then read the instructions here viewtopic.php?t=335 in order to load that firmware back on to the router. If you can recover it then start again with the RUC.

There's quite a few variables missing from your environment, the important ones I can see by comparing with xbipin's in the link above (running the same D-Link firmware) are

Code: Select all

mtd2 0x90000000,0x90010000
mtd3 0x90010000,0x90020000
autoload 1
autoload_timeout 7
BOOTCFG m:f:"mtd1"
mtd4 0x90020000,0x903e0000
mtd0 0x900b1000,0x903e0000
mtd1 0x90020090,0x900b1000
This leaves room for a mtd5 0x903e0000,0x90400000, which could be useful later.

You should connect using the PC-Tool as in your first post then add these variables. Then reboot the router and try reloading the firmware again. The router should then run, but there are extra variables such as MAC addresses that should be added to fully restore the original setup.

This leaves room for a mtd5 0x903e0000,0x90400000, which could be useful later.
