Compatable Routers With RT Firmware

Post by MarkE » Fri May 22, 2009 3:08 pm

Nice and New here so go easy .
I'm trying to find a list of units that RT firmware works on , i have a few routers at home and would like to give one of them a blast . Either that or i'm not looking hard enough.

I have seen quite a few D-Link users here and one of my spares is a DSL-2640r and was thinking of giving this a blast :) .

Also i have a ST585v6 , Netgear DG834v4 and a DG834GT all with DGTeam firmware (Netgears that is), i'm not seeing many netgear users here so i'm not that hopefull.

Hope someone can help a newbie :D

Cheers

There is no definitive list. There is a small list in the readme.html file.

I don't think any of the ones that you've mentioned is supported.

Ok no problem , i know the Netgears are not from reading but the DSL 2640r might have been , being i'm not to sure on what the difference is between the 2640t/b/r . Still using the Texas Ins chip i think. Might pickup a compatable model off fleabay .

My line is a little flackey i think so i don't really want to disturb the horrid BT IP profile at the moment , my other line is BE* ADSL2+ and TI are not very good compatablity with the MSAN's Broadcom hardware.

The "t" is Texas Instruments. The "b" is Broadcom. I don't know what the "r" is.

I take it you have seen this: kb.php?mode=article&k=30 ? As thechief says, it's not going to be definitive because there are many Class II routers out there and not all of them are going to be compatible...

And of course you could try running Neo's Router Upgrade Checker utility.
