Wireless Repeater failing to broadcast!

Post by rindew » Fri May 13, 2011 5:09 am

Okay, I'm almost entirely positive that I have set the router and Wireless repeater up correctly.
The Wireless repeater even indicates a successful internet connection.

The problem is when I bring it down three flights of stairs and plug it in it says FAIL.
This is weird to me because it still broadcasts my routers SSID and speeds up the connect
according to my wireless adapter, but displays a message saying their might be low or
no connectivity.

Now I do think this is because of distance because when I do a site survey to repair the connection with my router
my router doesnt show up. Which is also weird to me because a computer can connect to my router just fine at that distance.

What do I need to do here? Whats the next step? How can I change the settings in the wireless repeater and the router
that will increase range. If you think that is the problem.

Lane

Thanks in advance.
