Trying to print over the internet to a printer

Post by selkov » Tue Sep 04, 2012 8:04 pm

My WAN IP has a static IP.

I have an HP 2035n connected via the lan to a DIR655 router.
It has a static LAN IP address of 192.168.1.10.
All my pc's in the office can connect and print to via the TCP/IP port as a local resource.

I want to be able to print to it from a location outside of my office, thru the internet.

I have configured my router to forward incoming WAN port 9100 to the LAN 192.168.1.10 port 9100. I then created a a TCP/IP port and associated the IP address to the WAN static ip +port 9100.

But I can not print or ping the printer.

What am I doing wrong?
