Cisco e3200 speed

Post by geraldegivens » Wed Apr 25, 2018 3:03 pm

Hi all.

I have the following setup:
Comcast "Blast!" coming in the wall @ 50Mbps
Motorola SB6121 Modem
Cisco e3200 router
HP Pavilion dv6-6135dx with a ralink rt5390 wireless adapter

The problem is I get about 50mbps (speedtest.net) when hooked direct to modem and about 50mbps when wired directly to router. But as soon as I go wireless, I drop to about 17mbps.

All the equipment should support higher speeds. I would expect a drop in speed on wireless but not that much.

my computer is in the same room about 10 feet away.

any thought??
