Well still happening for me .....

toggle_watch.php?t=669&watch=topic

and I've now noticed - having considered some of the previous replies - that when it happens, if I then use the bac-arrow to get back to the active topics page and click watch again it consistantly give the same result - and if I go to the topic I am subscribed and if I then go back - via back-arrow - to the actiive topics page and click on watch again I get the same result - no error message - and if I the go to the topic I am still subscribed....... :?

Thats the idea! lol You are sending the watch command when you are already subscribed; clicking back is not reloading the page so its displaying the same watch link as if you were unsubscribed. If after clicking back you were to refresh the page you would see the unwatch link instead.

Bottom line is you will see a blank page if, through whatever means, you attempt to subscribe to a topic you are already subscribed to.

If I have to edit the code to print a specific message when this is happening I will, but to be honest its not really needed; blank screen means you have either;

a) Subscribed to a topic you are already subscribed to
b) Unsubscribed from a topic you are already unsubscribed from

Please let me know if you want me to add code to print either if those two messages instead of a blank screen.

Guys - can I just reiterate that (AFAIK) this is not what I am doing - Honest :wink:

I get the symptoms (sometimes) when I try to subscribe to a new topic for the first time.

I've swapped out my Mouse and the problem still persists and I'm only still sputtering on about it 'cos it's annoying me - as I've ssaid before it's no biggie but I'll keep messing around to see if I can diagnose it any further.

Thnaks again for all the input so far :D

Er.. no, but when I want to click an object I can tab through them and hit enter when it has the dotted lines round it. This also works for links on a web page if thats what you wanted it for.....

....might be :wink: (just trying to rule out the mouse element - two mice - same behaviour - unfortunately mouse-click sensitivity control doesn't allow you to force a SLOW mouse (CLICK) :cry:
