How to block all outgoing ports (except some white listed)?

How to block all outgoing ports (except some white listed)?

Does anyone have experience with ThompsonTG585 v7 router's port blocking?

I need to close all outgoing ports, leaving open only a handful of ports (like DNS, www, https etc).

The reason for this, if anyone wonders, is that the connection is shared between the users of hostel and policing them verbally not to clog the Internet connection with their bittorrent traffic is becoming tedious.

Some Thomson SpeedTouch routers have extensive command line configuration options, but what is available can vary with firmware version and ISP customization. There are some folk very knowledgeable about these routers on the Australian Whirlpool forums - maybe you would get a better response from there :- http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum/82?&g=53
