Hi,
ROPER FlyNet ROADSL2P-EU ADSL2/2+ (no wireless, 1 port, 8MB, 2MB) confirmed as working.

New Dsp 7.3 gains near 1Mbit on download (on 24Mbit adsl2+).

The only minor problem is DarkStat handcoded to http://192.168.1.1:667/
My router has another ip so i must edit manually the link all times.

and for all the RouterTech group... hip-hip... HURRAH
How come you didn't use DarkWolf's mod? That one is the recommended way for D-Link routers isn't it?

Perhaps because he hasn't released a 2.6 version of his mod yet?

The standard RT firmware works just fine on my DSL-G604T. No-one's ever been adequately able to explain what the Darkwolf firmware offers over the standard build.

Sorry, I meant use DarkWolf's mod of the firmware installer. By replacing the firmware.img and config.img files you could get it to upload another Routertech's image.

Ah, that makes more sense.

As a data point, I upgraded my (single image) DSL-G604T from 2.2 to 2.6 via the web interface without a hitch. (Well, it gave an error page when i uploaded the configuration saved by ruc, but it still restored the config OK.)

Heh. The unreliable web upgrade. I lost all my faith in the web upgrade after my DSL600EW blew up in my face (figuratively speaking) due to the web upgrade. Ever since then, I've used TI Remote to get Routertech versions onto the DSL600EW. When I switched to the DSL-G604T (because my DSL600EW got struck by lightning and I couldn't touch the firmware after repairs for fear of voiding my warranty) I used DarkWolf's mod (the installer anyway) all the way.

Does darkstat store statistics over reboot and reboot?

Nope. Rebooting clears the stats just like the routers system log. You never know though but maybe if you go through the docs, work out the mounting of nvram or remote drive perhaps you can copy data across? No idea how to start that though :D

No. Upgrading the firmware is moderately complex. Be sure you've read and understood all the instructions before attempting it. Download all the software you'll need to recover if things go wrong before you begin, and make sure you have a copy of your existing firmware on hand as well so you can go back if it doesn't work.

mtd3 0x903f0000,0x90400000
mtd4 0x90010000,0x903f0000
I used the Single-A image, flashed using the installer program found with DarkWolf's mod. My mtd values are:

Code: Select all

mtd0 0x90094000,0x903f0000
mtd1 0x90010090,0x90094000
mtd2 0x90000000,0x90010000
mtd3 0x903f0000,0x90400000
mtd4 0x90010000,0x903f0000
Here's my tiupgrade.scp:

Code: Select all

setenv mtd0 0x90094000,0x903f0000
setenv mtd1 0x90010090,0x90094000
setenv mtd2 0x90000000,0x90010000
setenv mtd3 0x903f0000,0x90400000
setenv mtd4 0x90010000,0x903f0000
setenv autoload 1
setenv autoload_timeout 25
setenv my_ipaddress 192.168.1.1
setenv StaticBuffer 128
setenv memchk.sh 1
setenv led_conf led.g604t
setenv cron_la.sh 2
setenv modulation 0x1
put config.img mtd3
reboot
reconnect 3
put firmware.img mtd4
setenv autoload_timeout 5
reboot
Of course, I placed the Single-A firmware in the folder as "firmware.img" and the config file as "config.img". Used corrupt firmware mode.
