Check dsp_ver in the docs.

Is this a new RouterTech firmware you've put on it? If so you can change the dsp version by making a settings change in the environment. The documentation that comes with the firmware covers this.

If it's not at RT firmware (you should be a little more complete when raising a problem) then your best bet is to check if you installed a country specific firmware and get one that is appropriate for you. Or downgrade to the previous firmware if you have it.
We learn something every day, and lots of times it’s that what we learned the day before was wrong.

Do you have any problem with reading the docs? It is all fully explained in the docs, especially the FAQ (faq.html).

Good that you're sorted. :) It's fine to be a newbie. However, not reading the docs before posting is not on.

i m a newbie here and i have the same modem router WL-8064ARM ANNEX B.

I try to install the routertech's firmware but the modem brick.
The only program now that can find the router is the PC-Tool but i make the fault to not make a backup on the previous company's firmware.

Obviously i don't make the necesery steps before install the firmware.

BSPY maybe you can help me:
1.if you can tell me the firmware version that you use to your router (i mean with what bootloader).
2.if you have made a backup before you install routertech's firmware i'll be very pleased if you can send this file to me.

Second question is what can i do to restore my router....i don't understand the way that PC-Tool works and which are the steps that i must follow.

Thanks in advance anyone that can help.

Did you run the RUC before upgrading your firmware?

NO. my answer is No. I didn't run the RUC.

As a stupid first tried to install firmware and then i start to read the faq's.

You understand that i make a big fault.
Anyway I think that if i got the right file from someone that have the same modem maybe can fix mine. I'm not sure for this but i say maybe.
If you have any idea you can tell me to give a try.

As a "chief" you can answer to my question about the PC-Tool.
If i ll find a restore files from a same router how can install it to my router through the PC-Tool?or is another way to install those files?

Thanks for your time.

Let this be a salutary lesson to everyone. The docs are there for a reason. And the big warnings (all in bold red) are there for a reason. The router utilties (especially the RUC) are there for a reason. That is reason is to avoid what has happened to you.

If you had run the RUC, it would have told you what firmware images are compatible with your router. Better still, it would have backed up sufficient information for us to be able to tell accurately what is inside your router. Right now, it is anybody's guess.

If you want to know about using the PC-Tool, follow the links in this thread:
viewtopic.php?t=961

Good luck!

Sigh. Can you please read the docs before posting questions? Please?

This is one of the first questions answered in faq.html.
Q. How do I login to the router's web interface?
A. Fire up your browser, point it to "192.168.1.1" and supply your username and password (the default username and password are "Admin").
