That is an error that I have not seen before. I don't think it should ever happen, and the fact that it is happening indicates that something is very wrong. I would recommend defragmenting the environment, resetting to defaults, and then starting with the (manual) configuration again.

I know of no reason why that should happen.

DLink G604T with 2.91.1
pppoe session won't start, sometimes pppoe starts, but works very slow
no torrents or any other p2p running, only ddns no-ip enabled.
very low free memory.
tried defragmenting env - won't help.
router works fine only in bridge mode - dsl part works.

what could be wrong? some env variables or what?

I am presuming that (a) you reset the router to defaults after upgrading the firmware, and (b) you have only one connection set up. If correct, then this is your problem:
Sep 22 15:29:35 | CHAP authentication failed
Sep 22 15:29:35 | Connection terminated.
Sep 22 15:29:35 | Doing disconnect
Sep 22 15:29:35 | PPPoE Exit Status = 19
Sep 22 15:29:35 | PPPoE Send a Interface Delete Event Below
Sep 22 15:29:35 | Authenication Failure with Peer
Check your ISP username/password.

PS: you might also want to try a higher DSP driver (e.g., dsp73 or dsp75).

How come that authentication fails several times and then magically pass ok?
I mean I didn't change pppoe username/pass for it to authenticate!

p.s.: ofcouse I reset router to defaults. Also I tried dsp62 dsp73 dsp75.

1) Is it ok that 365kb of 14mb free memory without p2p and other "heavy" services running?
2) Is everything ok with env variables?

I also think that there is something wrong with pppd - it just eats up memory and start to work slow... So slow it even can't authenticate because of timeouts...

The env is fine, as far as I can see. Memory is not your problem. As you can see, most of it (megabytes) is cached, and will be released on demand. You have lots of memory to spare.
Your problem seems to be clearly related to authentication. As for timeouts and authentication, I think that problem probably lies with your ISP.

If something is wrong with pppd, then I don't know about it. But I am open to being enlightened with facts and details.

There are a number of sub-versions of authorization - do you know what exact version you need - is the connection setup to "auto", or just "chap"
I also think that there is something wrong with pppd - it just eats up memory and start to work slow... So slow it even can't authenticate because of timeouts...
In your example above pppd is quite big, but it is stopped and restarted after every connection attempt. Can you capture the output of "top" just after connection and just before the problem, so we can see what is consuming the router. I may be wrong with pppoe, but I think most of ppp's action is the authorization phase, when running the ppp code in the kernel takes over.

I've correctly updated from 2.8 to 2.91.1 in my dlink G624T after following the defrag topic.
Problem is that the wireless tab is gone! I cant config the wireless connection. What could happened?

Hi,

according to this poll -> viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2991
you will put the DSP7.3 as the default drivers in the version 2.92.
Is it possible to integrate the DSP7.5 drivers ? I ask because with the new "original" firmware for my Sphairon AR860 they implemented the DSP7.5 drivers.
Maybe you are interested in the source code -> hxxp://www.sphairon.com/media/download/softwar ... 55.tar.bz2
So is there any change you will do that ? I miss the routertech GUI

P.S The DSP7.5 drivers work absolutly stable, at least for me.

Flashed the wrong firmware image?

Note that wireless is disabled by default in v2.9x and above, and so even if you flashed a wireless firmware, you would still need to enable the wireless AP in the wireless settings.

It is not possible to use dsp7.5 with the 1350A wireless firmwares. The standard wireless (and 4mb-flash non-wireless) firmwares already have dsp7.5. We are not looking to put it on the 2mb flash firmwares.

Ok now, thank you

Getting a new error: when checking Enable AP and choosing SSID I got "Error found on page"

edit: reset configuration and everything going fine
