I think the first post in this thread says it all.

I've changed the bootloader of a G604T and of a G624T with the second bin in the first post (psbl_4M_16M_AMD_AR7WRD.zip) and then loaded RT 2.97.
They both seem working ok.
I see from the routers info that the bootloader version is 1.4.0.8.
Is this version still the reccomended one for this kind of routers?

It should be quite fine.

Greetings to all the good people on this forum,
I have a small problem regarding adsl modem D-link DSL-362T. It is with a one-port ethernet switch, and is based on adam2 bootloader. Could anyone help me find a suitable pspboot bootloader to put in this device? All the pages I've been on have some links, but these seem to be no longer functional.

You need to discover the flash chip manufacturer.

Oh, ok. The manufacturer was already added some time ago in the "Comprehensive compatibility list" topic. It's AMD.

I've never seen it there.

And the flash/mem size?

The amount of flash is 2 MB, of RAM 8 MB. And you're right, the router isn't there. My bad, I thought I posted it.

If you're feeling brave, then you can try the one of the 2MB_8MB versions on the Acorp site (links are provided early in this thread: http://mcmcc.bat.ru/acorp/psp_boot/).

Be advised to get JTAG (and a backup of your current bootloader) before trying anything.

Thank you, thechief! I took the risks and tried to change adam2 to psp without serial and JTAG - just took the power for router via UPS and it worked well!

Hello!
I've managed to change the bootloader from Adam2 to PSPboot on D-Link DSL-G624T. Thank you thechief! I had some problems (IMO OS related, PC Tool 2.4 crashing), but eventually everything seems to be working quite OK.
I have 2 questions though:

1. Is it normal that the latest RUC (ruc_v1.4.1_f297) doesn't see my router after changing the bootloader? Same thing with the newest Firmware Tool (firmware_tool-097b).

2. Is it normal if the status LED is not working on the RT firmware? On the official D-Link firmware it was active (blinking) since the bootup.

BTW, I have the full RUC backup made on the official D-Link firmware.

Thanks in advance for the answers!

my dlink glb 502t has pspboot 1.3.I want to upgrade it to 1.4.
I dont have a serial or jtag cable so before upgrading i have a few questions:

1)what determines the compatibility of a particular bootloader image ,is it only the flash manufacturer?

2)do i have to edit and set the env vars after upgrade or the bootloader itself will do it(like the bootloaderversion var in env)?

3)I am going to use the bootlader images of acorp 120.can any one confirm its flash manufacturer?

To be honest very little to gain from just changing version of pspboot, but lots to lose. The bootloader must support the flash, but also the the ram size and sometimes the switch, if any. Acorp are usually AMD compatible flash.

Nevermind, I figured everything out myself.

1. I think I was on cable, when I tried to use RUC. Through wireless it connects and recognises the router normally.

2. As for the status LED (which wasn't working at all) I changed the LED configuration file in RT Configurations to g604t and now it indicates the PPP status, what is perfect for me.

The last thing to do was to change HWA_0, HWA_3 and mac_ap to the correct ones from RUC backup and the device is perfect now.

Thanks for the firmware!
