Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.95 Discussion
is there any way in the firmware to force fast path vs interleaved? or is that strictly controlled by ISPs CO?

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.95 Discussion
Yes it is. In the UK you can contact your ISP and they will put you on fast path. (but some charge for doing it )mysticalos wrote:is there any way in the firmware to force fast path vs interleaved? or is that strictly controlled by ISPs CO?

They are both correct.felixmarra wrote:just because i saw different values (even now u wrote a different value for mt4) and I was wondering why and which one is correct.thechief wrote:If it is all working, then why are you worrying? If anything is not correct, you can be sure that Adam2 will let you know all about it.
Different routers + different flash sizes = different mtd partition sizes.

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.95 Discussion
I did say that you would need the pctool ("Conclusion: upgrading requires using the pctool."). The RRT is a pretty close equivalent of the pctool in this respect.benobi wrote:But....before i made this upgrade i downloaded RRT software.
After few hrs i tried RRT....
It was good move. I did it via RRT software.
Now i have 2.95 version installed.
All is fine.

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.95 Discussion
Hi,
I have a question about DLink DSL-300T.
Now i have successfully upgraded my Dlink to RouterTech firmware 2.95.
Could you please tell me what speeds DSL-300T support now ?
With default firmware it was max 8mbit.
Now with RouterTech firmware theres more ?
I cant test it couse at this moment i have 8mbit connection....but id like to know that...
Please let me know.
Regards,

The DSP driver supports ADSL2+ (assuming your ISP supports it and your line quality is up to the task). For more about ADSL2+, see this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITU_G.992.5benobi wrote:Hi,

ADSL2+ supports up to 24mbit download and up to 1.4mbit upload ....
Hope my DSL-300T with RouterTech firmware will support 24mbit too
Thanks for info.

Re: RouterTech Firmware 2.95 Discussion
Just a quick note to report my success and thanks
Flashed a fairly flaky Dlink DSL-320T (currently in use with a dd-wrt WRT54GS v1). Had a quick read of the docs, ran the checker, flashed, set up, done!
Perhaps it was my experiences with the Linksys (had to resort to a jtag...) but this was a piece of cake. Feels more responsive already, even with 5 machines and torrents etc.
On the topic of torrents - the faq suggests limiting the connections on the modem. Is this the best solution for me, or would it be better to limit it on the router, or even on my torrent prog? What might a good number be, or is it trial and error?

Reduce the maximum number of connections in the settings of your P2P program. Start with 40 maximum connections. Then increase it slightly every day until you start to get problems.

Thanks chief I'll do that. How would you define "problems"?thechief wrote:Reduce the maximum number of connections in the settings of your P2P program. Start with 40 maximum connections. Then increase it slightly every day until you start to get problems.

I realized that darkstat not found on latest firmware.
Using routertech-ar7wrd-1350A-pspboot-firmware-20110103.zip @ inca 204W
Is it normal or something wrong on my router setup?
