Ok, after reading the faq, still I cannot make the wireless to work.

This is what I tried:

First I ran the Wireless Environment Builder.
When I click on the "Get details from rooter" button, I get notice at the bottom of the form that says: "TNETW ID could not be found".
However, the Wireless Environment Builder recieves the MAC address.

After that I ran on telnet

/sbin/reboot
but still no success.

Then I execute on telnet the 1350A-reset-eeproms.sh.
After that I ran the Wireless Environment Builder, but still I get the "TNETW ID could not be found".

After that I used the default TNETW ID clicked on "Build Environemnt" and send it to the rooter.
Still the wireless is not working.

This is what the RUC saved when I checked my router for compatibility, when it had the default firmware.

I also noted that at the Wireless > Security tab, no matter what I choose, it always select the "WEP" setting when I go back to that page.

I am assuming that you have already enabled the wireless AP in the web gui.

I think it was still far too early to run "1350A-reset-eeproms.sh", because clearly, you had not exhausted the recommended remedies. And running 1350A-reset-eeproms.sh takes you to a whole new dimension of complexity. As things are, your EEPROM and MAC variables are all over the place.

Before trying anything else, run this (from telnet)

the wireless is working now.

Before your instructions, I followed the upgrade guide correctly to upgrade the router, but for some reason I run into that wirless problem.
I have another new PLUSCOM AWR-7200 and I will try to put the routertech firmware there also.
I will be very carefull to follow all the steps correctly and I will report here if I also have this wireless issue. Maybe it has to do something with this router.

The reason is that the original (factory) environment settings for WLAN_EEPROM0 and wan_br_mac were wrong. So it is not your fault. Obviously the manufacturer's version of the wireless driver (tiap.o) did not use those settings, which is probably why it wasn't an issue before.

No matter how carefully you follow the instructions, if the firmware is broken from the factory, then you will still have problems. This how you can spot the problem before it starts:
1. "WLAN_HWADDR0" and "wan_br_mac" must have the same value - if they don't, then something is wrong. In this case it was the value of wan_br_mac that was wrong.
2. The last four bytes of "WLAN_EEPROM0" must be equal to the last four bytes of "WLAN_HWADDR0"/"wan_br_mac", but in reverse order (and without the separating colons). If this is not the case, then the EEPROM will not load. In this case, there was no match with either (the correct )WLAN_HWADDR0 or (the wrong) wan_br_mac. So, someone clearly put a random value in WLAN_EEPROM0 - a value that bears no relationship with the wireless AP's MAC address. :shock:

So in your case, we have got your wireless to work by:
1. Correcting the value wan_br_mac, so that WLAN_HWADDR0/wan_br_mac are set to 00:13:64:35:0A:4C and
2. Correcting the value of WLAN_EEPROM0 by setting it to 021156041B06001200000601095612000000010D56A9000000026D544C0A3564 by making sure that its last 4 bytes (in reverse order, and without the colons) are the same with the last 4 bytes of WLAN_HWADDR0/wan_br_mac

The last 4 bytes ("64:35:0A:4C") are shown in red colour - here reversed and not reversed.

You can do the same checks yourself - before upgrading - and you also need to check the vlynq_polarity problems.

It is set to high.

Now I am upgrading the second router.
I will let you now about the results after about an hour.

This think took me all day, but now it is nice to have a router with this wonderfull firmware that does everything and I enjoy it!

ok, I was able to install routertech 2.95 on two PLUSCOM AWR-7200 routers.

After installing the routertech-ar7wrd-1350A-pspboot-firmware-20110103 firmware, the wireless does not work.
The problem is that vlynq_polarity is set to low. It should be high.

After executing the code you suggested on telnet the wireless works

Looking good.

Small note: the "Latest release" section still points to v2.94.

The firmware will now automatically defragment the environment during a firmware upgrade via the web interface, and everytime something is changed in the "RT Configurations" menu.

The firmware will now automatically be reset to defaults after each firmware upgrade.

You're definitely going to help yourself with these by essentially eliminating the need to do them manually, since they're both so easy to forget. Who hasn't done a successful Web-UI upgrade only to find that nothing changed (any non-zero fragmentation level could cause this).

Can you give a specific example - looks slightly different here, but no obvious bugs? I'm using 64 bit Linux version 10.0.628.0 dev

On my Chrome (Ubuntu 9.x, 32-bit), a number of check boxes that should be ticked are not, and a number of text boxes (e.g., on the ipaccount and sntp screens) are empty when they should be populated with data. But most of the rest is ok.

Hi,

I was trying to upgrade my DSL-300T from 2.94 to 2.95.
First restored factory settings then clicked on SYSTEM - UPDATE GATEWAY.
Upgrading process was fine....waited 2 mins or somethg like that.

After that router started but i still saw the same version 2.94.
Dont know why....
Tried to upgrad to 2.95 again....but still see in STATUS page 2.94.

What i did wrong ?

Please help.

tried all...

restored to factory default, telneted and used command : 'setenv DEFRAG DEFRAG'.
Checked all via command : '/usr/local/bin/check_env'
Rebooted ....upgraded via WEB to 2.95 ...and still the same....always see 2.94 :(

my actual firmware : RouterTech_3.6.0D_20100818_2.94 (Adam2-lite-dsp70; 20100818103446)

Do not know what to do now :(
