UPnP is something that might never work for everyone.
On my SWAMR with factory firmware I had problems with UPnP, by V4 of safecom firmware my UPnP appeared to be 'fixed'.
But I know others where still having problems, of those problem routers the RouterTech firmware does appear to have 'fixed' some of those, and at the very least have improved the reliability.
Unfortunately as our firmware (or forum) can't be mentioned on the 'other' forum there will still be a lot of users running safecom firmware who could benefit from the RouterTech firmware.
If you are still having problems then please let us know a few more details such as how long before it fails and if the RouterTech firmware has improved the reliability or not. ( we are running out of users still having problems with UPnP to test it )
Sorry. but we won't say that it is going to be fixed in the next firmware ( unlike ******* ) as we have no way of proving it on every router / installation.

Still going strong here after 1 day and a couple of hours uptime, UPnP enabled and no problems yet. I've also noticed that 'DSL out of sync' messages don't appear in the system log now. The connection seems a little more stable, before it would drop once a day or so for a minute since being upgraded to ADSL MAX. Will keep you posted. Many thanks!

For a number of reasons, that is unlikely to happen soon.Gzero wrote:Nice interface, love the icons at the bottom of the home screen. Seems alright on my Gwart2 51425.
Any chance will WDS (wireless bridging) come about soon?

Well my router has survived: System Uptime: 16 hours 24 minutes
LOL I have got upnp on, but not snmp.
Unfortunately I don't have a chance of testing it online (isp cancellation which is still on going). Dial up for the lose.
I personally like the new interface and do I have to manually optimise the ram or is there a autorun every so often or when its low on memory?

The optimise RAM feature is experimental - so there is no autorun for it. But if you want to add it to your crontab file, then ....

Those stats look fine to me... have you noticed ping time or download speed differences between the versions?

Just wondering - did you re-enter your ISPs ADSL settings after the upgrade/reboot?
There isn't much variation between the two stats reports apart from the difference between "Trained Modulation" and "Trained Modulation ADSL2Plus"
After the upgrade, the SNR margins and Attenuations have increased, but only very slightly. The difference is neglible since it the figures tend to vary during the course of a day/week etc.

The trained modulation is not displaying because of a query failure. This will be removed in future releases, which should make it work correctly in most cases.
