Cannot set static IP for MAC address

Post by tasso85 » Wed Nov 21, 2012 10:23 pm

Hi everybody,

I have a problem setting a static IP in the LAN Clients, section, it gives me "Error found on page" and the system log says "set error: message= :Bad value for key 'settings/pc9/mac' in 'landhcps0':"

What could it be?

Thanks in advance.

Some kinds of MAC addresses cause errors. There are other examples in this forum (do a forum search).

I see.. Is there a way to circumvent the problem? I saw that reserving the IP address through the "reserve" checkbox seemed to work, but I could not change the IP address assigned.

I believe there is a way - perhaps what you have tried already - but I cannot remember it. You'll need to search the forum.
