HeartBleed ?

Post by cele82 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 7:18 pm

I'm running this on my g604t router

/var/log # cat /etc/RT_release
2.97
/var/log # cat /etc/RT_version
RouterTech_3.6.0D_20120130_2.97
(Adam2; 20120130230048)
/var/log # cat /etc/RT_buildver
RouterTech_3.6.0D_20120130_2.97

With openvpn 2.1.1

Thu Apr 17 15:49:41 2014 OpenVPN 2.1.1 mipsel-unknown-linux-gnu [SSL] built on Feb 4 2011

Am I vulnerable to the heartbleed bug ?

The openvpn server in the firmware is not vulnerable. You need to check the client software on your computer however.

Thanks I guess because it's old and doesn't have any heartbeat feature in it right ?

I'm using the latest TunnelBlick which has that SSL bug fixed.

Even if we built a new version today, it wouldn't have the problem - the OpenSSL version is pre-HeartBleed.
