Sorry - but I don't understand - do you eman how to disable DHCP on your router or how to setup ICS ?

Does the PC manage to get a wireless connection to the router when the router has DHCP on ?

neither.I mean I don't know how to set the router to act just as a switch and not act as an internet server.

Right - log on to Admin account on the router and then go to :-

Setup/>Lan Configuration> and select Ethernet and click on "configure" and then at the bottom of the page select the radio button "server and relay off"

This should disbale DHCP on the router - try this and see how the Pc and PS2 get on - post back and we can take it from there.

thx,but that was not the issue,I'd checked that befor.look,I don't know how to make the ps2 to send internet requests to laptop,I'd set the defualt gateway of router on the laptops ip (192.168.0.1,this is the one that windows accepts for ICS)and ps2's configs on auto(dhcp),but I examined static ip on ps2 too.but apparently router is not sending internet requests to laptop and tries to handle by itself.I even tried 2 separated lan gorups(wan and ethernet).

Try configuring the routers LAN IP to be a 192.168.0.99 value to see if it's this that's causing the problem.....

If this doesn't work can you try posting back the output of IPCONFIG/ALL on the PC ?

O.K. - I assume that you've still got the same problem ?

Can you ping 192.168.0.99 from the PC ?

Does the PS2 pick up any IP address ? if so what does it's network settings show ?

EDIT: - can you please remind me of the current config ? - ist it ps2 <--> Router via wired ethernet and laptop <--> router via wireless and te laptop has the serial modem connection with the serial modem network connecion being used as the Internet IP host for ICS ?

apparently the connection between pc and ps2 is established, but the problem is the internet site,as I said befor,I've to make the router not act as internet server, making the default gateway 192.168.0.1 is one way,but it's not working...

How are you getting to the router config ( what IP etc. )
The router can't be on the same IP as the PC 192.168.0.1 is the PC's IP.

I don't think that (asfar as you are concernbed) the AP/Router is acting as a router in your current configuration :?

The router's LAN IP range is set to 192.168.0.99 isn't it ? and the router's DHCP has been disabled as we discussed ?

I take it that you mean that you can now Ping the PS2's IP from the PC and this is how you know that they are connected ? so this means that the PS2 is getting a DHCP llocated address from the ICS Host PC (Laptop) ?

SO what precvisely is the problem symptom now ? - The PC can surf normally ? but the PS2 cannot "what" ?

I can run files from pc with ps2(e.g mp3 files),and yes I can ping it,but when I want to play a game online ps2 just shows DNAS authenticating and goes no further.I think this show that the problem is with the internet side, but i'm not sure where??!!
